Mid twenties has becomes an interesting point in my life. I look around me and many people are trying to find there way through this portion of their lives. From careers to significant others, many people are trying to strategicly place themselves either financial or emotionally on a corner that will hopefully provide stability for the later years in life.
However, in this struggle to create stability at this age, many mid-twenty, early thirty, year-old people begin to become more conservative. From going out to personal interaction, this age group while ready to create a strong foundation for their future begin to lose touch with the liveliness of the living life.
Living life, while relative to each person, truely consists of appreciating the simplicities of life and its beauty. From the rising and setting sun, to the simple opportunities that can be created by a question from a stranger that might lead to, because of our focus in creating stability, we lose sight to the beauty of life.
While much happiness can be found in stability, no satisfaction actually exists. While stability may provide a comfortable bed in which to sleep in, only satisfaction allows you to sleep comfortably in any bed in which you sleep.
As for satisfaction, that can only be found by coming in tune with our inner desires, passions and loves. This can not be found through the route of stability, because stability takes a high road to our personal needs and desires, for those that provide a more sound future.
My somewhat condescending attitude towards the future only comes with the feed back those so cautious display to me. The high road while grounding and stable, leaves much doubt, regret and unfortunately lack of satisfaction. In turn, as we pass through our years in life, we grow more and more discontent with the experiences we failed to have in order to create the environment in which we live in.
However, those that take the road of fearlessness, satisfaction and liveliness, have no stability, no foundation and interestingly enough, little regret.
The question lies would you rather be stable and live in regret, or completely groundless and live in the moment.
